  • Back and check buttons don’t respond to touch

    I love the My Fitness Pal product and I have used the app on many different devices including several computers. I have never had a complaint until now. I recently started using an iPhone SE. This phone is much smaller than the new phones out there and that’s ok. I thought at first my difficulty using the back and check buttons were a result of the smaller screen. Upon further investigation using similar buttons in other apps on the phone, I realized the problem was localized to this app. Is there anything that can done to address this issue? My user experience is so frustrating as a result that I end up just logging my food from the computer which is not very convenient and negates the reason I got the app on my phone. Thank you for taking the time to read this review and hopefully resolve the issues.

    This app is very helpful, resourceful and useful. My only suggestion would be if the exercise part was set up where you can scan the QR codes of the machines at the gym so it knows exactly which machine you worked on and also have adjustable numbers like amount of weight, speed, incline, level, etc. Imagine going to the elliptical machine scanning the QR code (my gym machines have them), and then on the MyFitnessPal app, logging in time, speed, level, workout option, etc. having it automatically calculate the exact calorie amount you’ve burn. Then at the end of the day, users would have an accurate count of how many calories they had for the day, on the end result. Other than my suggestion, I enjoy using this app and will continue to use it everyday.
  • Suggested as a key part in losing weight

    Recently I went to a medical doctor to find help in losing weight. My weight was 248, a BMI of 32, which is two points up the wrong way on the obesity chart. As part of a routine to lose fat to gain a healthier body, she recommended tracking everything I eat or drink on the MyFitnessPal Application. My physician guaranteed pleasing results will happen. With her medical advice, I have been meticulous in recording food, liquids and all forms of exercise.

    I recently discovered this app and switched to it from Lose it! Love that I can sync my Fitbit and it automatically adds calories to my day based on my activity. Also love that it gives you recommended daily allowances of nutrients!! Very helpful! The only thing I would like is if you expanded your food database to include more items ( ie. organics brand from Safeway) and also if you could share recipes you created on the app with friends on the app

    This is a good tool to track what you eat, weight, progress photos, exercise, and calories burned. I wish there was an option for me to track my body measurements (arms, chest, thighs, etc) to track progress. This is helpful because sometimes the scale doesn’t move but inches are lost. Other than that I really like this app!

  • Latest Update Terrible

    I really like this app. I’ve used for over 3 years. (Was) Easy to use with great nutritional information. NOW my most used foods don’t stay in the easy to use column. Maybe find them in the ‘Frequent’ category but it doesn’t transfer to most used. Still good app just not GREAT right now. Hope this gets fixed with next update.
